Dr. Sushma Reddy Katukuri completed MBBS from Chalmeda Anand Rao Institute of Medical Sciences, Karimnagar in 2009. Subsequently, she did her MS Ophthalmology from Pratima Institute of Medical sciences, Karimnagar in 2013. Then pursued a 2-year fellowship programme in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Neuro-ophthalmology from the prestigious LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad.
She later worked with Pediatric Ophthalmology unit in Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital for a period of 1 year. Had publications in peer reviewed journals in the field of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Neuro-ophthalmology-Journal of American Academy of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (JAAPOS), EYE, American Journal of Ophthalmology (AJO).
With this clinical and academic experience has now ventured in to setting up a Pediatric ophthalmology unit in Rainbow hospitals -Banjara hills with a motto of providing exclusive and a comprehensive eye care to the kids. Her core clinical interests include strabismus (squint), childhood cataract, vision development, refractive corrections, lazy eye and neuro-ophthalmological disorders.
