He also passed diplomate national board examinations in general surgery. He is Member of Royal College of Surgeons(MRCS) Edinburgh, which he cleared in 2005.
He did his MCH in neurosurgery from one of the premier institutes in India (post graduate institute of medical education and research, Chandigarh) where he was specially trained in vascular neurosurgery and skull base surgery.
Dr. Sukumar sura’s specialization include neurovascular surgery, skull base surgery, cranio-vertebral junction pathologies, brain tumors, trauma, epilepsy surgery and functional neurosurgery. He is also specialized in spine problems including spinal tumors, disc prolapse, and spinal instrumentation.
