Visual impairment due to the damage to the visual pathways and vision centres of the brain is called Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI). Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy, Periventricular Leukomalacia, Hydrocephalus, Head/brain injury, Brain malformations, Seizure disorders, Neonatal Hypoglycemia, etc are causes of CVI (Vision and the Brain, 2015). These children should be assessed for CVI ranges and intervened based on the assessment results. The intervention should focus on the enhancement of vision & perceptual skills in these children so that the typical characteristics of CVI would resolve. Vision Rehabilitation professionals should be approached for assessment and intervention of kids with CVI.
