Apply warm coconut oil on your scalp and all over your hair twice a week. Also, follow each application with a gentle massage.

2. Lemon Juice

  • contains vitamin C, iron, and citric acids which are beneficial for hair growth
  • helps in balancing the pH of your scalp, thereby, preventing dandruff

Neem oil contains an active ingredient called ‘Nimbin’ that can help to reduce inflammation.

Apply neem oil on your scalp, leave it for 15 to 20 minutes, and rinse it off. You can also mix it with coconut oil for effective results. Repeat this twice or thrice a week for quick relief from an itchy scalp.

5. Onion Juice

Onion has antimicrobial properties and contains antioxidants that keep your scalp healthy, infection-free, and helps in reducing inflammation. 

It is rich in sulphur that helps minimize hair thinning and nourishes hair follicles. 

Peel and grate an onion and squeeze out the juice. Apply this on your scalp thoroughly using a cotton ball and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes before rinsing it off with shampoo.
