Back pain is one of the most common reasons people go to the doctor or absence from work  and a leading cause of disability worldwide. there are many causes for back pain widely available in medical literature. In this article we are highlighting some bad habits which are killing your back.

  1. Long sitting without breaks: our body is designed for regular movement but If you are a desk  worker and you don’t do regular exercises than sitting more than 8 hours  alone can be a major source of your back pain.
  2. Poor posture: "Poor posture can add strain to muscles and put stress on the spine," the stress of poor posture can actually change the structure of the spine poor posture  of spine leads to compression of the blood vessels and nerves. Over the time  paraspinal muscles, discs, and joints that surround the spine become painful.
  3. Deficient diet: Inadequate levels of vitamin D3 and vitamin B12  can weak your bones as well as nerves and if you consume major portion of your diet with foods high in fat and sugar than it could trigger inflammation in body including back.  
  4. Smoking is already considered a bad habit for so many reasons, but it can also worsen your back pain. Nicotine reduces blood flow to the discs in your spin and smoking minimizes calcium absorption, inhibiting bone growth.
  5. Excessive use of cell phones: Cell phones make it easier for you to adopt poor habits when it comes to posture. Calling, texting, and emailing on your smartphone can create pressure on your neck, and travel all the way down your back.
