He opted for MD Internal Medicine from prestigious Vardhmaan Mahavir medical college & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. Subsequently he did senior residency in Medicine in the same institute for 1 year. He did his Superspeciality training in Gastroenterology (DM) from reputed Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (IMS, BHU).
