G.Krishnakumar first became interested in the fields of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology at ten to 12 years of age when a speech-language pathologist treated him for speech dysfluency at General Hospital Chennai. During the daily sessions at the Hospital seeing the frustration of other children not being able to communicate, inspired kk to pursue a career in Speech and Hearing.He began his career with internships at the AYJNIHH Mumbai and this was followed by a position at Manipal Hospital where he had the opportunity to work with a varied caseload of both in and outpatients (infants through geriatrics) with a large diversity of medical and audiological conditions.He is a life member of “Indian Speech and Hearing Association” and “Rehabilitation Council of India.” and is also currently impaneled with HAL Hospitals – Bangalore, Manipal Hospital – Bangalore, Apollo Clinic BangaloreKrishnakumar had always dreamed of having a private practice and began in 1994 as the owner of Rajan’s in a small setup at BTM Layout. Bangalore There he worked with large numbers of infants with speech and Hearing problems as well as children suffering from misarticulation, speech dysfluency, and hearing impairment. In 1996 he opened the center at Residency Road. He is fortunate to have experience with patients of all ages and enjoys the diversity of working with newborns, children, and adults as well as performing all areas of diagnostic testing and hearing aid fittings.Krishnakumar has been evaluating factory employees for noise-induced hearing loss for over 20 years and advises Industrial Establishments on prevention of Noise-induced Hearing loss.He also writes articles on hearing health care for different newspapers and has also participated in TV Shows related to Speech and Hearing.
