Consulted Dr. Raman Kant Aggarwal (Orthopedist) for Joint Replacement Surgery
My mother, aged 70, had been suffering from severe pain in both shoulders for more than 2 years. Movement of both arms was severely restricted. She was unable to lie down, and had to sleep in sitting position. She was unable to undertake normal activities like bathing on her own, cooking etc., and her normal life was disrupted.
Her treatment with injections, drugs and physiotherapy was not of much help, and the pain kept worsening. We made inquires in the medical community, and learnt of Dr. Raman Kant Aggarwal as a renowned shoulder specialist & surgeon in Gurgaon / NCR.
We thus approached him for a solution. After evaluating her, he informed us that both the shoulder joints were severely damaged due to osteoarthritis, and advised shoulder replacement for both shoulders. Accordingly, she underwent Total Shoulder Replacement of the right shoulder in April 2019, followed by Reverse Shoulder Replacement in the left shoulder in October 2019. This was the first surgery of its type done in India (Angled BIO RSA). Both the surgeries were respectively followed by a schedule of regular exercises done at home.
She was able to resume her normal routine gradually, and is now (since November 2019) doing her normal activities like bathing, cooking etc. without much issue. She does experience some pain, but it is manageable.
We found the entire experience with Dr. Aggarwal and his team to be extremely positive. He is an extremely knowledgeable and highly focused doctor, with a positive, can do approach. Also we found him to be very sincere and transparent / honest. I think we could not have found a better doctor to treat my mother's condition, even if we had gone abroad. We wish to express our sincere gratefulness to him. I also wish to mention that the Reverse Shoulder Replacement was done by him on very short notice. He spent the entire night before the surgery planning for it, and slept only after the surgery was completed successfully. The entire experience was deeply rewarding for us, and we are deeply grateful.
Also we wish to express our sincere gratefulness to his team members, Dr. Vipul Gupta and Physiotherapist Dr. Amaar Yasir. **** *** **** ****** ************* **** a very positive and helpful approach. It has been very rewarding to talk with and learn from them.

I along with Shelly and the rest of my family would like to sincerely express my gratitude for the amazing work put in by the entire team of the Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon in helping save my sister Mrs. Shelly’s leg , who was a victim of a bad road accident. She would have nearly lost her leg but for the timely assistance given by the Medanta doctors.
I especially want to give a big thank you to Mr. Pankaj Sahni for arranging it all , the Plastic Surgery department of Medanta Hospital and Dr. Khazanchi in particular, for their care and skill in helping Shelly on the road to recovery.
In three separate operations, they were able to cover her whole leg with muscle and skin There was no skin at all and the bone was exposed in several places. Thankfully, the muscle and skin grafts have been successful and she now has to concentrate on being able to move her leg again and eventually walk .
I would also like to mention the help and cooperation extended by the Orthopedists and the rest of the staff including Dr.Hardeep,Dr.Vishal,Dr.Akash, Dr.Manish, and Ms. Niyamat who helped coordinating it all and the entire nursing staff of Medanta
And a big thank you to all the donors who contributed towards her treatment.
We are back home . And it will be a while until Shelly is able to walk and be up and about but we will eventually get there .
Doctors are truly God’s angels and saviours. Had heard this , but for the first time witnessed it .
I wish and pray for their good health and safety during these unprecedented times.🙏🏻
In gratitude,

Very horrible experience. He is very rude while talking to patient attendant. He never came to met patient attendant after surgery and even at discharge.
My father was admitted for angioplasty in leg to treat the blockage, ***** *** * **** ** *** * **** ******* ********** ** **** ** ** * **********
Post operation discussion and at discharge discussions are different always. But he was reluctant for discussion at discharge by rudely telling that I have already explained everything to your brother post surgery. And if you want to call anyone else in your family please call as you will also forget ( tauntingly).
First of all as i already wrote that post discharge we might have more questions and as a doctor you should explain and answer those, even if we want to ask some question again. It’s our right. I have never seen that much arrogance and rudeness in such a big hospital where we are paying so much.
My father was in so much pain for tight bandage and we wanted to loosened it little bit. Even nurse were also able to see bluish ness and pain he was suffering with and called doctor but he did not wanted to talk to us and never came to see at least what my father was suffering with. They did not loosened the Bandage and you can see the next day what his groin part looks like as I am attaching the picture. It was swollen and after seeing that they immediately asked for discharge where previously they told that we will discharge in 2-3 days. And same night my father expired after coming home and discharge summary said condition is stable.

***** **** **** * ********* ** *********** **** Charges 1200rs as prescription fees but calls up her assistant to check for medicines/vaccines ! When i enquired, she said that she was checking if vaccine stock available or not. However when i went to the assistant, he said medicine will take 1 hrs to be delivered as he has just ordered now.
And she forgot to tell me that the vaccine had to be taken on 0,3,7,14 days! ** **** * **** ** ******* *** ** *** **** **** *** ******** ** **** * *** ** **** *** ****** ****** ***** *** ***** ************ ** ***** when i had written back to her stating the swelling is not going, she suggested to consult a plastic surgeon!
