He completed his training at prestigious hospitals and central institutes in India such as PGIMER, Chandigarh (MD General Medicine) and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi (DM Cardiology). Then, he did his postdoctoral fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Trivandrum. He has held the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Cardiology at SCTIMST and AIIMS, New Delhi performing various procedures independently such as electrophysiological studies, radio-frequency ablation (for all kinds of tachycardias including AVNRT, AVRT, Atrial flutter, atrial tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, ventricular ectopics, ventricular tachycardia in structurally normal as well as abnormal hearts), cryoablation for atrial fibrillation, device implantations (pacemaker, intracardiac-cardioverter defibrillator, CRTP/D, conduction system [left bundle branch area] pacing), angiographies, angioplasties, and various structural heart interventions. He has special interest in performing conduction system pacing, biventricular pacing, ablations of complex arrhythmias, angioplasties of bifurcation lesions and chronic total occlusions, and structural heart interventions including trans-catheter aortic valve replacement/implantation. He has published more than 30 papers in internationally renowned journals. He has authored a book named "Review of Cardiology" to train doctors preparing for cardiology as a superspecialty branch. He has also presented his research at international conferences including the American College of Cardiology (ACC), the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), and the Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society (APHRS).
He is an active member of the Indian Heart Rhythm Society (IHRS) and Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society (APHRS) and continues to present his research, give talks, and hold symposiums for the active learning of young cardiologists.
