I visited the doctor on Saturday.. she didn't explain what's her hypothesis for which test are being done.. just said get the tests done.. it took 5 hours in the hospital *** ***** test to be done... the
support staff had informed that we can review with doctor any day and it's not chargeable for reviewing of reports. Collected my mom reports next Saturday to have a review with doctor.. the reception people said you have to pay to visit doctor... Had to pay again to have a review with the doctor...

An elderly lady with long standing diabetes and swelling over both legs. She had no previous recent blood work and All possible causes and work up needed for the same was explained in detail to u in a consult spanning over 20mins. You agreed and therefore decided to undergo the required investigation at laboratory of your choice. So the matter of ‘hypothesis for tests not explained ‘ is totally false. I wish your mom the best of health and all that was advised was clearly in her favour which you would agree too.
The rest of your feedback is about consultation fee being charged for the re visit after a week as per hospital policy. Hospital allows one free follow up with in 3days.
Not specifically directed to you now, I would like to address the concept of ‘free doctor follow up ‘ for general public through this platform. The free doctor visit is considered a norm and right rather than a privilege that is given to patients. The client pays the fee for the doctor’s time and advise. The advise that comes after years of meticulous training and experience.
No other service comes free any where else.
Everyone including your doctor pays for all types of services we avail, for example education/hospitality/travel etc. So why this mindset of resistance when it comes to a private doctor’s consultation fee? Some hospitals like Max have altogether stopped the free follow up policy. The number of time one consumes a doctor’s time for professional advise, he needs to and should pay. And certain section of people have understood and have complied with it happily and rightly so.
Government is trying hard to meet up the demands for free health care for all and various hospitals are running and coming up for the same. Government doctors are salaried and therefore free consultation is given under the government policy. It is unfair to expect free services from private doctors. I hope you understand. Best.
