Let me start by apologising for the delay in taking you in for a consultation. There are no two ways about it , our appointments do get delayed esp in 'rush hours' around lunchtime and after office hours after 7 pm . Its like how on the roads there is more traffic at certain timings and there are jams due to that . Also this is on account of having to see 3-4 'emergency ' patients every day . We do refuse a lot of patients daily but since waiting time to get an appointment is 3-4 days , some patients who genuinely can not wait on account of having allergies, reactions , bacterial and viral infections like chicken pox and herpes etc. , can not be made to wait for that long and have to be seen on the same day . All the negative feedbacks and complaints that we get are about this only , but i dont have the heart to turn those in need away . If this is what i get in return, then i will stop doing it , as i do this in the interest of patients some of whom have been coming to me for over a decade and trust my opinion . I do take strong exception of three things though-

1: Implying that i am unethical and unprofessional . I take great pride in my ethics and have never once misguided any patient. I plainly tell my patients what i can and what i can not do for them. That is perhaps the reason you came the fifth time ( with different people) and perhaps the reason thousands of people put their trust and health in my hands. If being 'on time ' is the only measure of ethics in your books then i will definitely fail .

2:Assuming that i was doing ' beauty treatments ' all the while , while you were waiting. To clear your misconception i do not do waxing , threading bleach , pedicure etc.( these are called beauty treatments). Lasers are an essential part of a dermatologist practice and curriculum in medical colleges too. Yes, i was doing laser hair reduction for a distressed woman with man like facial hair . It was a complex case , she had been to three doctors earlier with no results so she needed extra care otherwise other doctors/ staff in my clinic usually do it . By running down such treatments as 'beauty treatments ' you are presuming that your problem was bigger than hers and are trivialising her medical problem. She had an appointment before you and i do not distinguish between procedures and consultations( 90% of my time is spent in consultations by the way ).

3: How much can a 70 year old man with falling health 'bombard ' and ' bully' you . He was simply trying to tell you that he has personally experienced waiting in doctors offices in canada where his grandson is . He belongs to a different generation, and does not know the ' politically correct corporate ' way of speaking, that was his only fault . You should watch the language that you use for him . Also he had to intervene as you had by that time started getting aggressive and were shouting at the poor hapless staff , who come to work not to get their dignity assassinated by people like you. You also banged the door of the clinic on your way out .

4: By exaggerating things and warning people not to come to me , you are intentionally trying to malign my reputation as a professional which I strongly object to .
