He is presently the Director of Institute of Digestive & Hepatobiliary Sciences at Medanta – The Medicity, Gurgaon and specializes in Endoscopic Ultrasound, diagnostic and Therapeutic Diseases of Digestive, Liver, and Pancreato-Biliary. He graduated from SNM College, Jodhpur, University of Rajasthan with Distinction in Forensic Medicine in 1994 and post-graduation in General Medicine in 1997. He completed his DNB in Gastroenterology from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi and was awarded with Gold Medal by the Honorable President of India. Besides clinical work, he holds keen interest in academics and research. Dr Puri has numerous publications and presentations in national and international forums to his credit.
