I first consulted Dr. Dhruv Chaturvedi who was highly recommended by an eminent Neurologist, Dr. R R Pandey who diagnosed my father with bilateral subdural hematoma. Such was the urgency that my father had to be rushed straight to the NISU from the Neurologists clinic as the blood and fluid collected in his brain had severely disabled his limb function. My father had a fall approximately 5 weeks prior to the surgery, which showed no serious symptoms at the time, but suddenly around a month later his limb movement was severely disabled. I shared all the clinical findings with Dr. Dhruv Chaturvedi over WhatsApp and he along with his team of highly talented surgeons started planning for the surgery. The whole procedure took approx. 2 hrs post which my father was kept under 24 hrs. observation in NISU and then discharged to the room. Within 72 hrs. of the procedure my father regained his limb movement and was discharged on the 5th day following the surgery. Today it has been approximately 2 weeks from the date of surgery and my father has fully recovered. I had three bulging discs and I had seen couple other neurosurgeons prior to seeing Dr. Chaturvedi. Upon seeing my reports, he was surprised as to why the other neurosurgeons haven't done the surgery until now. He realized that other doctors were delaying the surgery meanwhile inflating their bill until inevitable surgery meanwhile I was in extreme pain. First I wasn't convinced and had to go back to other neurosurgeon who also confirmed that surgery is only option but he is trying other treatment to see if it may help me. Only after realizing that my chances of recovery from non surgical means is next to none, I went back to Dr. Chaturvedi for my decompression surgery. I was released just one day after surgery, completely pain free and with 100% recovery. I wished that I had seen Dr. Chaturvedi much sooner. I would have saved lakhs of rupees and would be free of terrible back pain much much sooner.

His diagnosis and probing was very thorough. I am happy to see my mother improving. He also offered a discount on his fees, my mother being a senior citizen.
