He did his post graduation from Bombay University and post doctoral training in Cardiology from GB Pant Hospital, Delhi. He spent 25 years in the Indian Armed Forces before taking voluntary premature retirement from his appointment as Senior Adviser & Professor (Medicine & Cardiology) at Army Hospital (Research & Referral) Delhi Cantt in 2007.
Since then, has worked with several large multispecialty corporate hospitals in Delhi NCR serving his patients with skill, empathy and dedication. He has served as Senior Consultant & Unit Head at Max Heart & Vascular Institute, Delhi, Director & Head Cardiology at Artemis Health Institute, Director Cardiology at Delhi Heart & Lung Institute, Director Cardiovascular Sciences at Sarvodaya Hospitals Faridabad and Director Cardiovascular Sciences at Venkateshwar Hospital Dwarka. He has a vast and diverse experience and has special interests in Clinical and Preventive Cardiology and Complex Coronary Interventions, Peripheral Interventions, Carotid Angioplasty, Endovascular Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Structural Heart Interventions, Cardiac EP & pacing and Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy. He has helped build Clinical and Interventional programs and contributed to academic development, training, audit and patient education initiatives.
His Clinical services include treatment of Hypertension, Diabetes, High Cholesterol, Angina, Palpitations, Syncope, Breathlessness and Heart Failure and is frequently consulted for unbiased second opinions in all aspects of Cardiac care.
He is a recognized teacher and proctor in many national and international forums. He has authored several publications and book chapters and conducts physician training programs at different levels regularly. He has been a postdoctoral teacher and examiner in Cardiology and has guided ICMR, AFMRC and other research activities.
He was awarded the SENA MEDAL for Distinguished Services to the Armed Forces in 2005 by the President of India.
