He holds an MBBS (1984) and MS In Ophthalmology (1988) From King George's Medical College, Lucknow. In addition has successfully pursued two specialised fellowships: One in general ophthalmology at Sankara Nethralaya In Chennai, and the second in Cornea and External Diseases at UT Southwestern Medical Center In Dallas, Texas. During his Fellowship At UTSouthwestern, he worked with Dr. James P McCulley, a world authority in the field of cornea. At Sankara Nethralaya, Dr. Dave also served as a cornea consultant until 1991.
Dr. Dave has worked in the field of cornea since 1990 And his areas of Interest Include Corneal Transplant, Cataract Surgeries and Laser Refractive Surgeries. He began his association with the Shroff Eye Centre as Cornea Consultant since 1993. Subsequently, in 2003, opened his own clinic, Dave Eye Centre, where the motto is "Individual Attention, Compassionate Care and Honest Opinion".
