Thank you for your feedback. I would like to respectfully clarify the clinical course of your treatment for transparency and accuracy.

You presented with a 5th metatarsal foot fracture with significant swelling, for which a temporary slab was applied as per standard orthopedic protocol to allow swelling to reduce and to prevent complications. You were given adequate consultation time (approximately 45–60 minutes) during the visit, and all treatment options were explained in detail.

On your follow-up visit after 5 days, slab removal was advised, and a definitive cast application was recommended for proper fracture healing. However, you declined the cast and requested an air cast instead, which was prescribed clearly marked as “on patient request”—a necessary and ethical medical documentation practice.

Similarly, an X-ray was requested by you despite being informed that it would not change the management at that stage. As per medical and legal guidelines, the X-ray was also prescribed on request, which unfortunately may have affected your insurance claim. This was not due to any medical negligence or lack of care.

Patient safety, ethical documentation, and evidence-based treatment are always my priorities. Adequate time was given, all options were explained, and no decisions were rushed.
