Dr. Rajeev Gupta did his MBBS from prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College of Delhi in 1994 and then completed the internship in December 1995. He did his M.S.(Ophthalmology) also from prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College and associated Guru Nanak Eye Centre which was completed in 1999.After his post-graduation, he joined Icare Charitable Eye Hospital at Noida. Over there he was part of the team of doctors involved in giving training of phacoemulsification (the most advanced technique of cataract surgery) to fellow doctors. He was also in charge of glaucoma services over there. One more thing which he has been doing religiously for 18 years is refraction (checking of a power of glasses). Though accurate refraction does take a lot of time & effort of the doctor and is much lesser rewarding he has been putting same effort and sincerity for these 18 years because of his firm belief that it helps the large percentage of patients. He is one of the very highly experienced phaco (Stitchless Cataract Surgery) surgeon having experience of over 25000 phaco surgeries. Cataract surgery has been his passion since his post graduation days. His success rate is on par with international standards. Many doctors especially eye surgeons and anesthetists who have witnessed his surgeries got cataract surgery of their family members done by him. There are many eye surgeons who like to keep him along with them during their cataract surgeries confirming the trust & faith which they have in Dr. Rajeev Gupta’s surgical skills. As a professional, honesty, ethics and patient’s concern are always on the top of his list.
I was very worried as my son got hit in his eye and had pain .
Dr. Rajeev was very humble nd patient. He was not in a hurry to write the prescription. He calmly listened to my problem nd tiok his time to check my eye properly. Only then he prescribed medication, explained how it is to be followed nd future precautions. I strongly recommend him.
Good experience. This was my first appointment with Dr Gupta. I reached at my pre-appointed time and the receptionist sent me to Dr. Gupta without making me wait even for a minute. This had never happened with me earlier :)
I went for a second opinion for my mother eye problem. Though we were convinced that there might some problem in her eye, the doctor checked and very candidly declared there's nothing wrong. No expensive tests, no unnecessary medicine, which is very rare these days especially in private clinic. Satisfied.
