After his first stint as Associate Professor at Srinivas College of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Centre, Mangalore, he was in-charge of the neuro rehabilitation unit, Department of Physiotherapy at Father Muller Medical College and Hospital, Mangalore. This was followed by a lectureship in neurological rehabilitation, Gulf Medical University, UAE. He is a member of the International Spinal Cord Society and of the Indian Association of Physiotherapists.
His forte lies in developing home based rehabilitation for people with long term disabilities, spinal cord Injuries, strokes and after a spine surgery. His techniques include using evidence-based practice, standard outcome measures, proprioceptive neuro-muscular facilitation (PNF) and fall prevention programme for the elderly.
