He was born in London and moved to France when he was 5 years old with his Iraqi parents. Bassam has enjoyed sports since childhood, playing sports at a high level. As a young adult, he was treated for sport-related injuries by an osteopath. It was this experience that inspired Bassam to study osteopathy. He has been living and working in Dubai since 2010.
