He has been a specialist in ophthalmology, working in Egypt. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Dr. Younis has considerable experience in supervision and consultation of patients ranging from managing medical and surgical ophthalmic emergencies to interpretation of diagnostic procedures. His expertise covers conditions like cataract, refractive surgery, Femto – LASIK, pterygium excision with grafting and repair of ruptured globe, glaucoma management, treatment of anterior segment problems especially medical cornea, medical retina, argon laser trabecuoloplasty, retinal tear, DR and vein occlusion and, YAG laser iridotomy and capsulotomy. In the course of his work he has performed LASIK, cataract surgery, dry eye, conjunctivitis, medical retina and uveitis.
