After completing his degree in Medicine, he earned a Bachelor’s certificate in Economics (BEc) and his MD, all from the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands. He underwent his Surgery Residency programme at the Catharina Hospital & University Hospital Maastricht, NL. He is a PhD from the University of Groningen, with the topic of his thesis being ‘IORT-containing multimodality treatment for locally advanced primary and locally recurrent rectal cancer’.
