Since graduating, Dr. Anwar-Ahmad spent a decade working in a variety of hospitals in London, garnering invaluable experience in all facets of Family Medicine. She worked as a General Practitioner (GP) at the Witham Health Centre and as a Registrar at the Whitley House Surgery. After relocating to the UAE she spent time as a Consulting Physician at Mediclinic Al Noor Hospital and then at Mediclinic Meadows, Dubai. She is passionate about Family Medicine and believes in the continuity of care and placing the patient’s needs first. She keeps up-to-date with recent medical advances and guidelines which is the foundation of good evidence-based practice.
Dr. Anwar-Ahmad believes in chronic disease management and medication reviews and has successfully treated diabetes, thyroid, common endocrinological, ENT, eye problems, dermatological, musculoskeletal and rheumatological diseases. She is proficient in treating various cardiovascular, respiratory, gastroenterological and genitourinary conditions.
