After obtaining his basic medical education, he completed an MD and MSc from Saint Joseph’s University in Beirut, Lebanon. He has to his credit a Cosmetic Fellowship from the University of Montreal Canada, a Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC), Training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from the University of Montreal and a Craniomaxillofacial Fellowship from Dallas, in the USA.
Dr. Medawar is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Lebanese Society of Plastic Surgeons. He has almost two decades of experience in plastic surgery having worked across Canada, USA, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. He was the Head of the Plastic Surgery Division at the St Georges Hospital and Head of the Aesthetic clinic ‘Skin & Slim’ at Clemenceau Medical Center, both in Beirut. He also served as a Consultant at Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital in Riyadh. Before joining Medcare, he was the lead Plastic Surgeon and Consultant at the Saudi German Hospital in Dubai.
