She completed her MBBS and Post Graduate Diploma in Ophthalmology from the J N Medical College of the Aligarh Muslim University in India and went on to acquire her Diplomate of National Board of Examinations, New Delhi (DNB) from Sankara Nethralaya in Chennai, India. She has a Fellowship in Medical Retina/ Ocular inflammation/ Uveitis/ Cataract Surgery from the Sankara Nethralaya in Kolkata, India. She has also completed her International Council of Ophthalmology fellowship-Part 1. She is an active member of the All India Ophthalmic Society and the Delhi Ophthalmic Society.
Dr. Ansari is a trained phacoemulsification surgeon and has presented research papers at various national and international conferences. She was conferred with the ‘Young Researchers Award’ at the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Congress- AIOS 2013. She has worked in several well-known hospitals and clinics in various cities in India. Initially, she worked as a Consultant Ophthalmology at Max Vision Eye Care Hospital in Chennai, then at Kenia Eye Hospital and the Asian Eye Hospital, both in Mumbai. She served as a Consultant Ophthalmology at the Rotary Eye Hospital in Kolkata before moving to Dubai.
Dr. Ansari’s expertise lies in performing phacoemulsification cataracts with IOL, SICS & ECCE surgery. She has successfully done pterygium surgery with graft and managed diabetic retinopathy, uveitis, glaucoma and corneal diseases. She also administers intra-vitreal injections and uses Yag lasers to correct retinal issues and glaucoma.
