I have been taking counselling sessions with Mr Kaartik Gupta for over 3 months now. In my very first session, I ended up crying as I discussed the problems I was facing. Considering the gravity of the situation, he tended to me for longer than an average session which usually spans from 55 mins to an hour. I feel that Kaartik is not rigid but rather flexible which allows him to personalise the treatment (or should I say healing) on a case by case basis. Session by session, we have been able to dissect each problem. After about 3-4 sessions based on the technique to track my behaviour, I was quite correctly able to identify my anger triggers which in turn had helped to better understand the problem and find solutions. The overall endeavour of the sessions has been focussed towards making me efficient in dealing with them which I feel is very important because the dependency is kept in check from the very beginning. By dependency I mean 2 things. First, my habit of blaming others for my anger which is dealt on directly when we identify my anger triggers. Secondly, a possibility of depending on my psychologist for solutions to every problem. He creates the flow of conversation in a manner which makes me brainstorm on how I can deal with my issues issue and also asks to build on the suggestions that he gives to see if we can adapt them to my problem to make things work more effectively. I have noticed some real progress so far. Earlier I would get really frustrated and worked up, but recently I have seen myself be more level-headed in dealing with situations. This is not absolute, there are still times wherein I do lose myself but the degree of loss of control has definitely lessened. I don't feel as helpless as I used to feel earlier. Overall, I have noticed that I am becoming emotionally more stable as the sessions progress further. One thing I really like about Kaartik is that he is very receptive to feedback. During a conversation in one of the session, I felt a little hurt about something that was said (I happen to be a sensitive person) and when I discussed the same with him later in another session, at no point did I feel that he was defensive or uptight about it. He rather encouraged me to be as frank possible so that he could help address the unease. I had come to Mr Kaartik with many issues. Slowly we have been dealing with them, one at a time. The ripple effect of solving one issue has had a positive impact on other problems as well. With frustration kept at bay, I do think I am able to make decisions more clearly. At the same time, my creative side has gotten a boost as I am able to channelise my issues through poems, art or songs that I write while coming with unique ways to solve the problem at hand. There are still things left to be dealt with which shall get addressed in further sessions, but just the sheer optimism and hope to overcome issues which has gotten instilled in me sometimes feels enough. When it comes to counselling in general, it is not so easy to find the right person. I have been to a psychiatrist before but didn't follow up after the first session itself as I didn't feel comfortable with many medicines that were given to me. As I said earlier, I have been taking counselling sessions with Mr Kaartik for over 3 months now, and I am happy that I can get the results I seek without undergoing heavy medication. I am positive that the person who undergoes therapy with him shall be able to achieve whatever it is they are hoping for.

Mr. Kaartik is a wonderful counsellor. He has been extremely supportive in my transformation journey. I have been stuck in a rut for quite sometime and with mr kaartik I have broken down everything that has been bothering me, what I want and step by step we have been working towards solving the many obstacles.

Mr kaartik has this way of making me think of what I can do for myself and then together we have looked for ways to implement them. Thus avoiding dependency which is unwarranted in the longterm. I have also been able to discuss the abuse, I had gone growing up in Delhi and other intimate issues something very difficult to do unless one is absolutely comfortable with the counsellor. Mr kaartik makes his patients very emotionally comfortable for them to be able speak their mind freely.

The process has been very healing to me, something I needed for a very very long time. There has been significant progress, I am more productive, happier and trying to see life worh a more rejuvenated perspective. My mental health has improved tremendously and I have no one but Mr. Kaartik to thank for it.
