This is the very first review I am ever writing and the reason being I was absolutely compelled to spread the word about how black clouds of depression lifted and a bright light dazzled into my life from the time I made a decision to meet Dr. Archana Sharma. When a friend recommended Dr. Archana Sharma's name for psychotherapy, I thought to myself,' Who's going to go from South Delhi all the way to Janakpuri for sessions?', But then my hunch told me, 'Just give her a try....,' and I'm so so glad that I did. In the very first session she strikes a rapport with you as she takes history and gets to the root of the problem. I have been to a couple of therapists in South Delhi area but they have been eager to address the symptoms and did not get to the root of the problem. Hailing from IHBAS and having assisted very reputed psychiatrists in this field, Dr. Archana is very thorough and picks up on problem areas which are not apparent to the patient. In fact in two sessions itself she was able to turn my thinking around. At the same time I did not feel that she is pushing me too fast and moving at a pace that I can't cope with. She uses CBT and many other modalities very effectively to transform your approach and problem solves for you as light bulbs begin to go off in your brain. What I like most about her is that she can instinctively sense which modality / tool will work best for which problem. Ive done over 8 sessions with her and am feeling much more in control of my thinking, though I had started receiving amazing insights from my very first interaction with her. If you are thinking of buying a self help book or going for a motivational talk, wait...instead invest that money wisely and go to a good therapist. Dr. Archana Sharma is an experienced, seasoned therapist and definitely worth one's while as she makes an earnest attempt to understand and guide her patients, while being approachable and easily accessible at the same time. She not only pointed out to me how I was missing the wood for the trees but also gently walked me onto the road to sanity. Absolutely wonderful working with her.

It has been one great experience meeting Dr Archana as she has indeed helped me sail through the most difficult times of my life. However she is not the very first Doctor my parents had consulted for me. Even before I met her I had already been taking sessions from the other doctors. But certainly they just didn't match upto the level of understanding and ability which only Dr. Archana possessed in my case precisely! She handles her patients with such maturity and smartness that you get convinced you have come to the right place. She makes you feel so comfortable and easy that you tend to share all your problems with her without any hesitation which in turn helps you feel relaxed making your recovery process much easier. Quite professional and experienced she is undoubtedly, which is very much visible in her personality. I have been blessed that I found her on right time and able to avail her services. Meeting her has truly been a life changing experience for me. The way I earlier used to deal with my problems has certainly changed in a good way making me a better person. I'll always be thankful to Almighty that he made me meet Dr. Archana.

Just know how to deal with patients like me. She helped me understand my symptoms, and work accordingly. I wasn't really supportive initially, but after some time, I also tried my best to overcome OCD. Through her guidance I've learned to control my anxiety and did clear all backlogs, which was no less than a miracle. I'd been been advised many time to drop out from college. And I've seen people dropping out in my situation. I won't say I'm doing great, but I've come a far from where I started. I do have issues now, but I do have the confidence now to handle any situation.
