At ILBS, he had the opportunity to imbibe and grow with a Liver transplant program right from its inception to becoming a runaway success. He learned the nuances of complex HPB surgery and remained an integral part of team that ushered the first successful liver transplantation program in the public sector hospital. In the 6 years he spent at ILBS, he passionately delved into all nuances of Liver Transplant including surgical issues, pre & post operative dilemmas, academic and research.
Dr Niteen has associated himself with multiple research projects, has an academic inquisitiveness and has published highly impactful papers. He has been part of more than 250 liver transplants and large number of other hepatobiliary surgeries. His stay at ILBS culminated with his being awarded the Mch in Hepato-Pancreato- Biliary Surgery in 2016. Moving forward he is fascinated by the subtle nuances and variations associated with Liver transplantation which he hopes to demystify.
