Dr. Shakuntla Kumar

All good except a place for a better sitting arrangement will be nice, because we have to stand for long waiting. She is very much wanted by many.

I had met 4 doctors before finally meeting Dr. Shakuntla Kumar. The difference is when I visited other doctors they talked sweetly, gave a high level description of the whole issue and recommended umpteen tests from the diagnostic center of their choice and finally the money they will charge for the process with no upper ceiling to the amount and create a sense of urgency, BUT when I met Dr. Shakuntla she did not ask for any report/test, instead did the first hand diagnosis herself, explained the issue patiently in detail and in a way that sounded compassionate for ignorant people (like us) explained why what is suggesting is the best option. We were convinced without an ounce of doubt. Oh yes, fees! She didn't say a word about it. Fees was reasonable for the process but care and professionalism was what convinced us. She doesn't see a patient as ATM but as a human being and gives every person the due respect and care they deserve. She is a perfect person for the nature of her work. Respect for her!

Since this was our first child, we were unaware of what we were getting into. Dr. Shakuntla constantly reassured me by giving my husband and me detailed education of what was happening both to my body and emotions. Every step of the way, we knew we were in good hands.

She made herself very approachable and available to me. Her passionate way of interacting with her patients made us become very faithful in her approach. She is compassionate, thoughtful, dedicated to providing the best patient care.The months leading up to the big day were full of questions and concerns, but were handled so well by her.Her calm demeanor and positive aura helped create a tranquil environment during this once in a lifetime event.

I will always be grateful for the excellent care provided by Dr. Shakuntla, Dr. Harish, Dr. Abdul, Dr. Irfan and Dr. Surabhi Gupta, pediatrician.

From a stress free delivery to a perfect, quick healing circumcision, the C-section way a great stress free experience here. Ingrid made me feel calm and relaxed the whole time.

Even though I booked my appointment about 2 days back, I had to wait for more than 2.5 hours. I reached the hospital on time for my appointment but they still made me wait for so long. I kept asking the receptionist and she kept assuring me that they will send me next but still they made me wait for more than 2.5 hours. They said that some meeting was going on which is very unprofessional in my opinion. If a slot is not available or if they are not sending in patients according to their appointment timings, they shouldn’t take appointments. I had some prior engagements which I had to cancel because of such a long waiting period. The most annoying part is that this hasn’t happened for the first time. The last time I booked an appointment through Practo and went to see the same doctor in Nulife Hospital, I had to wait for about 3 hours. I thought it was a one time thing, but this is unacceptable, it’s like they don’t value our time at all. Another point I would like to highlight is that the hospital is under construction and it is very dusty, sitting on the same chair for almost 3 hours while the dust keeps flying in the same area is really irritating. The doctor was nice and patiently diagnosed me, but I would not recommend this hospital at all.

Doctor was late hence they pushed everyone's appointment. However they didn't inform this to anyone, the reason they have was, internet was not working hence we were not able to check online appointments. We reached on time but had to wait for an hour as doctor was late and she was attending previous offline appointments. When an appointment is made via apps like this and still you have to wait for an hour, what is the relevance of making an appointment in advance then? Even after Practos call centre executive requested the receptionist to make some room for our requirement, we still had to wait. After an hour we( me and my husband) met with doctor and explained her of the issue and pain I was experiencing. She started examinimg me but instead of explaining/asking/informing anything she directly said there is abscess formed and we have to operate it. I said its already oozing out so what's the need of incision and if antibiotics can help she denied straight away. I asked what is the cause of the issue, why did it occurred at first place, she said I don't know. I mean you are a doctor you have to let us know what is the probable cause, I didn't spent 500 Rs. On a highly qualified doctor just to get the abscess removed. On top of that we were to get the operation done in the morning and it would take 15000 Rs.. 15k to get the abscess drained out. Horrible Horrible experience

So a little background..I've been diagnosed with PCOD earlier this year and even the Ultrasound tests all confirm it so.

I shifted to Delhi some weeks back and wanted to check my current situation. After all the prior tests and meetings I was referred to her. So, I waited for about 2hrs and when it was my turn, she just viewed my results and completely invalidated my condition and said I just need to lose weight. ****** * **** ** ******* *** *********** ** **** ******* I don't recommend this doctor to anyone.

I have admitted this hospital due to some heart issues. I was glad that I took this decision otherwise I wouldn't be here. I was undergoing the treatment under Dr. Akshay. I must say that he is the most wonderful Doctor I have seen. He was very affectionate and courteous towards me and my family. He not only explained me well about my health issues but also assure me about each and everything in advance.Also special thanks to Dr. Shakuntala, she has an enviable standard of proficiency in her field, she also helped me lot during my stay in hospital. Me and my family are their old patients, and also refer this hospital to our friends and relatives. I am also grateful to Anju didi who refered me to them in first place. All of their staff was also very nice and helpful .

For starters she is extremely reasonable compared to other senior gynecologists that I have referred in the past yet much better than them. She is a very good academician and speaker which really impresses me - a power packed personality indeed!

What I really love about her is the way she handles any patient. She is never in a hurry to finish of her consultation with any patient even her OPD is jam packed. I have been consulting her since 5 years and I know its rare to find such humble doctors.the best doc Acc to me :)

This is my first meet with her today only. she is very positive,a good listener and understanding which cures half of the illness of the patient,which in my case also happened.but I cannot comment on the treatment as for that I have to wait and watch the effects of her medication,which most likely will be good enough as she is a very experienced doctor.even the staff is very warm unlike other clinics.

visited her with my relative four five times. analyzing my visits, I Can say this doctor doesn't hear patient patiently. Most of all, I didn't like, *** ****** ******* ** *********** ********* ***** *** if patient comes with these tests done from any other laboratory she doesn't accept and want patient to get the test done her laboratory.
