It's been 7-8 years I'm seeing this doctor and it's always been a very satisfactory experience talking to him. He understands things very professionally and has personal insights regarding every case.
His memory is too sharp. I would recommend doctor Raj Kumar Srivastava to everyone who is looking for a psychiatrist.
As for the waiting time. This time I had to wait for more than a hour inspite of booking the appointment.
Hopefully next time I won't face this issue.

Dr Srivastava is a highly skilled professional. He has been so patient and kind all through my sister’s illness. He wonderfully explained how psychosis and schizophrenia are different and how medication for mental health illnesses works. His diagnosis was absolutely spot on. He has not only treated and made my sister better but also talked to us about mental disorders and why our initial thought process and stigma was hampering her improvement. He is a brilliant, brilliant doctor and I thoroughly recommend him!

Had a pretty bad experience with this doctor. I had earlier also have consulted 2 doctors over 5 yr period and all gave depression medication which helped and I tapered off when advised by them.
1. first, he gives medicine himself ******* ** **** ****** ************ ** ****** ******* ********* ** *** **** ** ** ****** ******* ** ******** ***** *** ******And gets defensive when you ask about it.
2.On my second visit, he changed one medication regarding ADHD with just a total 5 minutes conversation and without telling me this is the new thing he is diagnosing and what is his basis for diagnosis. ** ****** ***** **** * ******* ***** ********* * **** ** **** **** **** *** *** ***** you have to inform the guy you are treating if you are changing course of medication/diagnosis. **** ** ***** * ****** ****** *********

Professionally I am pretty well off, *** ********** ********* ******* ** ** **** ******* **** ****** * ****** *** ** ******** Again, I am open to discussion about where you are coming from in your diagnosis. But since psychiatry is pretty serious field, and without anything more than just gut feel in most diagnosis, have the basic professional ethics of a doctor to explain the issue.
4. I told him about some very disturbing dreams I was having ***** * ******* *** *********** First time I encountered when I missed 1 dose of medicine. I thought it was due to the missed medicine,I raised it in our consultation, he dismissed them as due to missed medicine. Since then I am taking proper dose for 4 days and had 2 such dreams. One I woke up just now from and afraid to go back to sleep. and writing this review in that frustration

1. When I arrived at clinic all doors were closed , it took time to figure out where to go and at last I had to call someone then clinic was opened.
2. I was on time but doctor was absent and late
3. Clinic staff was unprofessional and not polite
4. Doctor itself asked me why did you park your car outside clinic that I think was not wrong because there was space and I had come to clinic.
5. At the end after paying fee staff did not give me fee bill by again rudely saying that we don’t give bills which is totally unprofessional and shocking, legally they had to provide that.

It was a very nice experience to get counselling from Dr Raj, he patiently listens to all the troubles one is facing and comes up with very practical ways n therapies that can be easily worked upon. Can’t thank him enough
He asks a question but never once did he listen to the complete answer. I felt helpless most of the time.
