Many years ago, I wrote an email to a surgeon at 1030 pm -re my Mother In Law's debilitating pain. I was of course not expecting an answer and was obviously (happily) shocked to see a response at 0130 am from the good doctor replying in detail to each of my concerns! About a fortnight ago, I had the privilege and honor to meet this great human being face to face when my octogenarian mother was hospitalized in Balaji hospital. He is none other than Dr. H S CHHABRA, an internationally renowned spine surgeon ...a legend really. But to see such humility and dedication in a doctor who has long since ticked all boxes was the most humbling experience of my life. I saw him and his team in OPD till 1 in the morning spending incredible amount of time with each of the patients who travelled from far away places to get cured with his magic wand. Even at midnight, his energy, interest, warmth & comforting voice had not waned. ALL his team members- half a dozen young dedicated married doctors- remained by his side. I often imagined about such persons; admiring nay worshipping such qualities but to see such a luminary in person was a surreal experience. We all talk of idealism but I saw Dr. Chhabra practice it- day in and day out. This world is a better place because Dr. Chhabra lives in it and he epitomizes professional brilliance along with rare character, compassion to fellow humans and dedication. Balaji hospital management has got a gem and should do everything in its power to welcome him and his team & facilitate them in every way possible. Many other doctors playing Gods but actually being lazy, arrogant, negligent and avaricious should learn a few tricks in being a human first. Thank you Dr. Chhabra...may you live long and keep alleviating suffering. Amen!

Probably one of worst doctor I had come across. I had problem with heel, without making any investigation, he gave me his stupid sheet of a number of medicines and put me on steroids and painkillers for months. Wen the problem didn't go, he asked me to get and MRI done of back, which was not even relevant for my problem, I got serious sleeping disorder and extreme BP low and was admitted.

Plz be cautious while consulting doctors, such people screw your system. It has been almost 8 months and still I haven't recovered from the aftermath of the medicines
