Thanks for your feedback which unfortunately has been noticed by me yesterday only. I can not recall specifically what transpired during that 5 minute appointment almost 2 years back, but can try to explain abstract conceptualisation.

As apparent from your description, your dad had advanced osteoarthritis of knees. I have experience of thousands of joint replacements both, during 12 years experience of working in UK and last few years in India. I take pride in being a joint replacement surgeon but surgery is always last option in my mind and my patients vouch for that. I get a steady stream of patients, who visit me based on this image. But unfortunately at times they over expect that I am against surgery. I always tell my patients - “ They have paid for my honest professional opinion and not to hear what they want to hear as doing this will be unfair on my part”. I will NEVER offer surgery if there is any other non surgical option But also never shy to offer surgery when required. But, I will take as long time as it takes to assuage any apprehensions of patients and family. I have got real time models and videos and go through with patients in detail. The final decision always lies with patient and that’s always the rule. But few patients feel bad as they did not hear what they were expecting to hear from me, but like I mentioned earlier, I am here to give honest opinion in the most empathic , persuasive and scientific way , which I take pride in.
