Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, New Delhi, initially as a Senior Resident and then worked as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology (1992 to 1998 ), Associate Professor of Ophthalmology (1998 to 2002) and from 2002 onwards as Additional Professor of Ophthalmology, in the Vitreo Retina Unit till he resigned in 2003, to join Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals and Centre for Sight, New Delhi as Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreo retinal Surgeon. He also has his own clinic - RMG Netralaya in Hauz Khas Enclave.
Dr. Dinesh Talwar has extensive independent experience in medical and surgical management of vitreoretinal disorders including complicated retinal detachments with severe proliferative vitreoretinopathy, vitreous hemorrhage due to Diabetes mellitus and other retinal disorders with associated traction or combined traction-rhegmatogenous detachments and traumatic retinal detachment, of over Three decades.
Dr. Dinesh Talwar has a special interest in surgical management of postoperative and post traumatic endophthalmitis and was awarded the Dr. P. Siva Reddy Oration by the All India Ophthalmological Society at its Annual Conference held in Bhuvaneshwar in January 2005 for his work on this subject.
He has always had an academic bent of mind and in the course of his career, he has edited two books, written seventeen chapters in books, published more than 50 articles in International peer reviewed and National Journals and made more than 150 presentations in various National and International conferences.read less
