We truly understand your concern. Dysphotopsias are relatively rare post-operative patient visual phenomenon which are more commonly seen with normally operated cataract surgery (IOL in bag) and as per records your mother has normal post-operative vision. Dysphotopsias are usually a result of certain deficiencies in human designing of IOL vis-a-vis normal eye anatomy.As you might have been told, dysphotopsias are not inherent to only surgery/ IOL type. The lens type used is one of the best available in India. We regret the occurrence but there are treatments which can be tried as already your patient has not resolved in past 6 months. We would request you to kindly visit so that these options may be discussed with you. We understand your stand.
