Dr. A K Grover

I know Dr GROVER for more than 40 years. I know he has grown 100 folds.but he must remember that the patients who come to him are all not very affluent. His consultation fees of 1500 and ₹2000 is a little more should be reduced a little, thank you.

For almost a couple of years I have been seeing blurred images and hazy light. It was only in December ’22 middle, that I started my research, to take the plunge to clear my eye cataract. It was my good luck that I discussed my eye issue with good friend Shantanu [a retd. IAS] who spoke to his school friend Dr. Achintya Roy of Kolkata and he in turn suggested his friend, Padma Shri Prof. Dr. Ashok Grover [the famous Delhi based Eye Surgeon, ex- AIIMS]. We visited Vision Eye Centre [VEC] Sirifort Road, New Delhi and met Dr. Grover and got instantly convinced that I have found my Doctor at last!

From mid Dec. ’22 till 1st week of January ’23 I visited three Eye Centre’s and had got requisite experience from what they were saying! Without naming them let me give my points as to why I consider in hindsight it is so important to go to the right place and hands, as it could have damning effects! The first Centre I visited, clearly showed how mercenery they were. The 2nd one was good as they were friendly, totally free for checkups, but they talked of taking up my left eye 1st as it was weak and right eye next. Also they did not mention about my cylindrical power and the Toric lens which I needed to insert. Third Centre I visited, was initially having a reasonable fee but ended with a bang, charging me a big fee for some odd test suggested last minute! Even they too did not suggest the Toric lens for cylindrical power my eyes needed.

My visit to Dr. Ashok Grover set aside all doubts. It was here that I learn’t of Astigmatism i.e. (cylindrical power) and the Toric lens. He was also clear he was going to do my Right eye surgery first and then the Left! The complete approach was so different and convincing that I knew it that I have come to the right place. Further, it will be wrong not to mention that being a senior citizen and a music artiste with no insurance to fall back upon I asked – ‘may I request you for a soft discount.’ I was so touched when I was being discharged I was told that I was being given a discount. Even the 2nd time the discount was repeated. I think this was truly a very rare gesture coming from the great Vision Eye Centre with a wonderful team and staff. First time I found everything so nice … even the O T had classic golden era Hindi film music being played when the eye surgery was on! I was out of wits to hear an Anil Biswas song (my favourite composer) during my 1st eye surgery and S D Burman song in my 2nd. Waah Dr. Grover, I am so happy to have come to you – a big Thankyou !

*** ** *** *** ******** ****** * *** ** ** ***** I have done my eye surgery to put an implant for my orbital floor under him at Ganga Ram Hospital. *** ** ****** ********* ** ******* *** ** ***** * *** ****** ********** **** ** ** ***** **** After surgery whenever I visited and consulted with Dr. Ak Grover he never ********** *** **** ***** *** ***** explained the issues of my continuous eye pain. We keep on taking multiple follow up with him but every time he said that due to surgery it is paining which will vanish as the time passes. We are asked to do the CT scan of my eye and full orbital area so that Dr. Grover can check the position of my implant and why its paining. Surprisingly after seeing the CT scan **** ** ****** ** ******** *** ******* *** said that everything is fine but why eye is paining continuously he unable to answer the always gives false statement and asked me to take steroids tablets and pain killers which quite harmful for health. This post is real and ** * ******* * *** ********* ******** ******* *** lost my hard earned money by Dr. AK Grover. Dont take any consultation from him as he is not recommended *** ***** ***** ***** **********

I visited dr Grover for Squint Surgery. i was asked that surgery will be done by dr grover itself. but later on from source I got to know that squint surgery are done by dr ashutosh not by dr grover.After this I tried many times to just confirm about it .all the time I was given same answer" that both remain present at the time of surgery.Actually when I was in OT , dr grover was not there.though I was not able to see that time but i was clearly able to hear voice.Dr grover was not there. I paid 51000/- for the name of Dr Grover. (because one lady doctor in AIIMS advised me to get my squint operated either in AIIMS or by Dr Grover and because of timing constraint I didn't go to AIIMS ).

coming to politeness of dr grover:-

after 2 months of surgery (after completing normal post surgical procedure) redness in my right eye was not over and it looked like as there is some additional layer.when I reported the same to Dr Grover , how badly he responded over it I can't even describe."aur abhi 4 mahine theek nahi hogi.ab tumbe kuch bola to i will ask my staff to throw you out of my center"..

after that incident I never vistied again to him.same problem is still present in eye.and Squint also was not visible in starting time but now it is visible again.

it almost 5 month has completed but condition of my right eye is same.residual squint is also present. so my total effort, my money and most important the pain I Felt during Surgery is of no use .

overall exp is very Bad.

one important thing to add , there is no bad arrangement for the patient .after surgery you will be asked to sit on chair.how a patient can be comfortable on a chair

Profeesional, expertise in his field, highly recommended , tried many but he is the very best. Need to go no further.

Waiting time was too much we have waited for 2.30 hours for our turn. I wouldn't like to suggest admin please mantain time schedule. And if you have more patients do not take more patients.

This is very general evaluation for a doctor like Grover. Doesn't give any picture of treatment, his vast experience and the treatment. While personally very satisfied and hope for the treatment which we came gets resolved early. To help out the Doctor to evaluate there should be questions relevant to treatment,as different persons react differently to the same treatment. All the best to the team specially Dr Grover an excellent doctor and gentlemen

I had a bad experience with Dr AK Grover. I had a chalazion surgery which he delayed on his end *** ***** ***** * ***** ** ******* * ********* **** ******* ****** Instead of treating the issue, he misbehaved with me and did not provide any treatment.***** ****** **** ***** ***** *** ****.

I strongly recommend not to visit his clinic.
