Prof (Dr) D Mukherjee is an alumnus of the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College, Pune where he did his MBBS & MD (Medicine). Let me take this opportunity to extend my experience with Dr D Mukherjee, for my father-in-law a CKD patient. My father-in-law was being treated for the disease in Kolkata, in 2018. Back in 2018, he had a creatinine of 2.2, which had been reduced to even 1.4 under the treatment. However, we weren't really aware of the severity of the disease and were just focused on medicines and bare minimum food restrictions, as suggested by Dr in Kolkata. Recently, a cataract surgery was necessary and an opthalmologist sought a Nephro clearance. Having previous good experience in several departments of Max Gurgaon, I decided to take up consultation from Dr Mukherjee therein, impressed by his AFMC Pune alumni. He gave us basic tests on the first visit, which was well expected. As we revisited after the tests, we were shocked to learn that alongside creatinine level 1.7, 62% of the kidney was damaged overall. This certainly shook us. We came back home with the new prescription only to find that the new meds will cost ₹12000 per month and will be required for a lifetime.
