Yellow tongue after flagyl
I took flagyl to treat a bacterial infection and afterwards quickly developed a yellow tongue. I have taken 3 rounds of difllucan....which has not touched the problem. Some improvement has been seen with tongue scrapping and peroxide prince and an alcohol free mouthwash...but only minimal. The yellow never goes away.

Hope you have taken those medications under the guidance of physician/dentist. If your tongue remains yellow after a week’s time, go in to see your doctor or dentist to check what is going on. Or if you begin to notice accompanying symptoms along with the presence of your yellow tongue, that is also a good indication that you need medical attention.
Health Tips
Don’t brush your tongue with the toothbrush bristles as that can cause irritation. Instead, use a tongue scraper specifically designed for the job.Use an alcohol-free mouthwash as it is less irritating to the tongue.Stay well hydrated throughout the day.

Did you take flagyl on the suggestion of a doctor????? more importantly, did you take the three courses of diflucan on a doctor's prescription????? Long term use of antibiotics and antifungal agents can disrupt the normal micro biotic composition in the mouth..... Avoid using these medicines unless extremely necessary and prescribed by a physician..... now the next logical step is to use your toothbrush (only) to scrape your tongue at least twice daily..... it will take a few days but this condition will subside...... Peroxides also dry the mouth and can cause Yellow or white tongue.... Avoid them as well..... As regards the alcohol free mouthwashes, use the ones with the generic composition of chlorhexidine gluconate 0.2% ...... mouthwashes like Plax and Listerine cause staining themselves.....
Next Steps
scrape your tongue at least twice daily or preferably after every meal, using your toothbrush only ......  have some patience and avoid using other chemical agents.....
Health Tips
avoid using flexible or inflexible, plastic or metal, tongue scrapers.....
