Worrying about hiv
I have unproctected sex or sex without condom with a unknown girl about 20 days ago i have gone to doctor worrying for hiv and other std and he told me to test for pcr hiv so my pcr hiv test result is negative so i just want to know that does pcr give confirmation or not about hiv or there any other test which need

Hello....confirmatory test three months after the exposure is always recommended. because by then antibodies would have formed if antigen is present in blot... Wastern blot is confirmatory test... infections, medications, most vaccinations, putting on weight, eating or drinking anything before the test, use of alcohol or recreational drugs, could affect test result. There is only 0.1% chance of HIV through sexual intercourse.
