Worried about baby's health
My newborn Baby does not suck...dts why my milk production is not sufficient...so m was taking perinorm. And reglan...I found American academy of pediatrics... doesnot know about its safety while breastfeeding..so m worried if it is harmful to my baby...as I have taken both of the medicines...

The two most important factors for good lactation are a good healthy balanced diet by you and regular suckling by the baby. If nipples are inverted,use nipple shield. Reglan and perinorm are two brands of the SAME medicine,stop one of them!! Also,add cap lactare 2 caps thrice a day,both for 2 weeks. If effective,continue for atleast 3 months,otherwise stop both meds and add top formula feed.
