Wisdom tooth didn't grow properly and is slanted and more than half chipped. Gives tooth ache. Can I go directly to a dentist and extract it or it needs an inspection before extraction. Can inspection and extraction be done at the same time or day?

Hi. Wisdom tooth is one of the most common tooth giving this problem. Because of tilting in your case, it is not very cleanable resulting in cavity and hence the breaking or chipping.
If there is no active infection, inspection and extraction can be done in same day.
While if infected it is fine under antibiotic cover
