hello, you can do warm salt water rinses as a home remedy, but this will give you only temporary relief from pain. You need to consult a dentist and get an x-ray doe. If required get it removed or not.

in current context of anthropomorphize[anthropology] and dietary habits our WISDOM tooth is unable to erupt fully. As your case is a erupting wisdom there is definite a chewing of gum around and causing immense pain,if already swollen then bleeding as foul smell too due food imp action. Please show to dentist near by to evaluate if retention of the same tooth is possible or not by rootcanal.
Next Steps
Take an expert dentist opinion from a Oral Surgeon to keep wisdom tooth.
Health Tips
Dont be hasty or a blog read only to take the decision.Go X-RAY, ORAL SURGEON, YOUR OWN BITE[tooth to tooth contact] AND THEN DECIDE.

Yeah we can try to avoid removal of wisdom tooth but depending_on clinical condition. Sometimes wisdom tooth eruption takes place to the occlusal level with soft tissue that is gum still covering its most of the part. Which on bite may cause pain and tenderness. So just removing that extra gum may relieve the pain. Sometimes tooth eruption is not in proper direction and left trapped in jaw bone and creats pressure on back tooth and cause pain, so in that case we may need to remove your wisdom tooth to relieve pain. Report to the periodontist to consult whether your pain is due to trapped gums or not...if yes then get that part of gums relieved reduce your pain. @Dr Gopal Dete, Periodontist & Implantologist.
Next Steps

Health Tips
