Pain due to wisdom tooth may be because of the following reasons. 1. Eruption of wisdom tooth is painful in many people. It can be managed by painkillers like Crocin or Brufen or Ugesic etc and rinsing mouth with warm water and salt mixture. 2. Incomplete eruption of wisdom tooth and/or cheekbite due to it. In this case the tooth must be taken out. 3. Caries or decay in wisdom tooth which may require a filling or Root canal treatment or extraction. Please visit a dentist for proper diagnosis, guidance and treatment. Hope your friend feels better soon.

Hiii....it is a very common problem. The permanent solution is extraction of the tooth. The temporary solution is take a proper course of antibiotics and painkillers, do warm saline gargles and keep the area clean. Consult your dentist to see if that wisdom.tooth is affecting other teeth in that case it needs immediate extraction. Regards, Dr Priyanka Sehgal

Hi, wisdom tooth usually pains when it is erupting or it is impacted. Kindly get a X -Ray done at your nearest dentist, he might also recommend to go for OPG X ray which will help to determine the exact situation/location of the wisdom tooth. No need to worry. Can take any moderate pain killer tablet like ibuprofen+ paracetamol (though consult first before taking medication) and rinsing mouth with warm salt water will also also help.
