In view of your history of diabetes, a heart disease related cause for your chest pain must be ruled out. This is even more important in your case, as you are planning for a surgery. Please meet a qualified cardiologist as early as possible and get yourself properly examined to plan the further line of management. Thanks. Hope this helps.
