I understand your situation. You seem to be having residual depressive symptoms. More clarity is needed regarding your problem. Information regarding your sleep, hunger, energy levels and concentration at whatever you do would be more helpful to decide on the severity of your condition. However death is not the solution for anything. It is easily manageable with appropriate treatment, so that dysfunction due to the same can be reduced and your quality of life will improve. There are many weight neutral antidepressants available for use, about which you can discuss with your psychiatrist. Some counselling sessions along with medical help might be useful for you. I would also be more than happy to help you with that if you are looking for online assistance or second opinion. Discussions will be held confidential. You can directly consult with me through Practo as needed. Online chat consultation is available.

It depends on what is your weight. Secondly the important thing is how you are feeling, as you mentioned it is appreciative. Hence please consult a Psychologist who can help you find the root cause of the depression.
Next Steps
Please consult your doctor to see the success of the case as you are medication some 8 years, which is not great.
