Subh Arogya,         ..... First of all please take Medicine under proper guidance. I don't think it will harm you but rather would be ineffective because weight gain has numerous reasons(e.g. mostly in female hormonal imbalance can cause weight gain) for which medicines you were suggested won't work and ayurveda would be blamed for not being effective. Though I am also of thought that medicines would be one of factors in reducing weight, but diet and regular exercise is of essence.  I would rather suggest to do proper consultation with Ayurvedic doctor which will cure you from all aspect. Regards, Dr. Kaustubh Kane

Do not take any medications to reduce your weight as they have some side effects.... Try natural methods like diet and exercise...Weight gain happens either due to addition of extra calories or due to failure to spend calories consumed...these extra calories deposited in our body as fat..for weight reduction you have to consume less calories and spend more...avoid junk foods, carbohydrates like rice etc, avoid oily foods...add proteins and fibre rich foods to your diet with green tea, green leafy vegetables, fruits...do regular exercise at least 2 hours a day...Consult nearest dietitian they will do the needful.

Key factor for weight loss is diet . Your daily calories intake should be less than daily requirement, and than comes exercise, if you are following both the things regularly only than medicine will work. And the medicine you are taking is not sufficient. Drink green tea twice a day and consult Ayurvedic doctor for complete treatment.
