Watery poop
Hi doc my baby is 4.5 months old , and is having running watery yellow poop 3-4 times a day from past 2 days. Usually he poops 2 times a day with curdy consistency. Is it diarrhoea? Baby is active otherwise. Thanks

Watery loose stools is a feature of diarrhoea. In first 6 months Breast feeding is sufficient for hydration. Continue to give feeding after each stool passage of child. Most of the diarrhoea in infant caused by virus. So there is no need of any antibiotics

Diarrhea is defined as more than 3 watery stools per day. You can start WHO ORS like electral powder and a probiotic like syrup nutrolin B 5ml once a day for 3 days. Contact again if not better
