Both my parents have very bad viral fever and now I have a sore throat and runny nose. What medicine can I take? Also, is there any medicine I can take to prevent me from catching a viral fever?

Hello...... Viral fever subsides on it's own... Only symtomatic treatment is necessary.... ..influenza infection has high contagious ... So you must cover up while sneezing ...steam inhalation twice daily and antihistaminic drugs gives symtomatic relief... Don't take antibiotics ,fever subsides in week or so.
