Use of olimelt
I am writing this for my wife. She goes in to thinking doing things. She has some delay in response. She always moves her legs.She smiles in between other activities. She was on olimelt 5mg for some years. She told me that olimelt is prescribed for anxiety and poor sleep. I want to know about her mental condition. Is it a serious issue.
For the past 3 months she is not taking olimelt. Only the above mentioned symptoms are there without tablet. Shall she continue the tablet

Whether or not she requires olimelt can only be suggested after getting to know the reason or indication for which it was initiated. Another key factor for this decision is her current mental health condition, only after factoring these inputs a decision is likely to be taken in collaboration with your spouse.
My first suggestion for you is to seek a psychiatric consultation near you for a comprehensive assessment and evaluation. The doctor will assess all these issues , and he might require to get the initial history of health condition from your in laws also.

Hello As she is on Olanzapine , which is given for schizophrenia, and discontinuation of the same is serious. You need to consult psychologist for diagnostic and consult the physician or psychiatrist for the medication. However I think you should try to engage your wife in a conversation in a supportive loving way and let her start making you as part of her support and help. This will help things in a big way.

The fact that someone has prescribed her a medication and she has been on it for a long time means it must be for something important. This medication does have various usage and it is difficult with the little info you have provided to say exactly what is the possible diagnosis.
However I think you should try to engage your wife in a conversation in a supportive loving way and let her start making you as part of her support and help. This will help things in a big way.
Stopping medication without consultation with Psychiatrist is not advisable.
