Urticaria old and chronic
My mother suffering from acute urticaria for past several years.it causes swelling on face, lips and head gets hives.allergy tests conducted and all possible triggers avoided.many anti histamines taken and they give temporary relief.now this year it has been persistent from march.on and off the urticaria has formed a pattern.for every two days no signs and body is ok,on third day starts appearing mainly on face, she takes levocitrizine and it gives her temporary relief and on fourth day it irritates ,those on head give itching, burning and headache.burning sensation is in most part of the body on this day.due to levocitrizine taken on previous day,the intensity is not that much what it used to be in April may. Then comes next four day cycle.foodwise the diet is simplest comprising fruits and vegetables.wheat chapati ,dals, lauki, tori etc.one more thing allegra previously used to relieve symptoms a lot but not now.is it auto immune,or environmental.kindly suggest future course of action.
