Hello, A blood urea test measures the amount of nitrogen in your blood that comes from the waste product urea. Urea is made when protein is broken down in your body.Urea is made in the liver and passed out of your body in the urine. A urea is done to see how well your kidneys are working. Some laboratories use upto twenty as normal range,, where as some use 20-40 mg as normal range, check in your report what normal range as given, if you have edema of legs, face, abnormal urine colour, abdominal pain, please consult a general physician.
