I husband is to look after my parents who are totally dependent on me. My wife can not tolerate this. When she hears any news of providing subsistence to them, she becomes angry and ferocious to the extent of attacking physically. In this way we have been living in quarrel, anxiety and depression.

Depression and anxiety can be caused very often when there is supression and guilt...... however difficult it is to change ideas your life partner holds....you can definitely work on changing your attitude towards the challange you are facing....Also being in awareness and acceptance of the fact that serving your parents is your birth right...

You seem to be going through a tough time with your wife. I understand that you are the care provider for your parents as their son, but you are playing a dual role as a husband also wherein she will expect you to fulfill her expectations from you. You can always negotiate with each other about what you can/cannot do. It is a very fine balance that you will need to maintain between your different roles.
